This past friday night we went to the Mesquite Championship rodeo with a group of families. They have a part that takes place during the rodeo that is called Mutton Bustin. Kayleen has been wanting to do it all week. You sign your child up and the first eight names that get drawn gets to do it for that night. It is were they get to ride on a sheeps back and see how long they can stay on. They put them in a cattle shoot and call out their name, age and where they are from like a true cowboy or cowgirl. Kayleen and another boy with us got to do it and I am glad they were able to do it together. Hope I can get these pictures up. They had so much fun and want to do it again.

Long Time

Sorry but it has been awhile since I have posted. Lots has happened but just have not taken the time to post. I will start again from today. I was wishing I had my camara with me today. All three girls had a dentist appt. today to have their teeth cleaned. I take them to a pedatric dentist so they encourage the parents to not come to the back. It works great for my girls which then they do have me come to the back at the end to see the dentist. Caroline went first and then Kayleen. During this time Allie keep going and watching sisters and then back to me. After several times finally I did not see her so quick. I thought I should peak in the room and see what she was doing and their she was letting the lady clean her teeth like a big girl. The part I wanted to take a picture of was her sister Kayleen was sitting on a stool beside her holding her hand. Allie put her hand to her mouth and Kayleen moved it down slowly and just keep holding her hand. I heard her tell Allie she was doing a good job and they were almost finished. I wanted to go in their but knew Allie would do better with out me. Kayleen was being a BIG help. Sure enough time for me to go to the back and Allie's turn to sit on the chair for the DR to check her teeth out and she cries on me but I sit her up their and she stops. I told Kayleen I saw what happend and told her Thank you for being such a BIG sister. Makes mommy happy in her heart. The three girls are going to be best friends forever. I hope I will keep this updated and add pictures very soon as in this week.

Sickness

Allie woke up about 1:30 last night sick to her tummy. I was up with her every 15 mintues until 6:00 this morning. Let hope the rest of us DO NOT get it. Poor thing not able to keep anything down today. Hope she is better tommorrow.
We are doing well and had a relaxing weekend at home. Friday night Nathan, Caroline, Kayleen and Uncle Scott went camping in our backyard. They had another camp fire and the girls love doing smores. Saturday morning Nathan's parents came over and had breakfast with us which was fun since we never seem to do that much. Hope to find you all well and have a great weekend. We went trick or treating tonight and the girls could have kept going. What are we going to do with all the candy? We don't need it at all. Aunt Rachel is here visting so we decided to have bon fire with the girls. It was so much fun. The girls gathered sticks all week and then they help me gather rocks to make a area for a bon fire. I guess we have a place for a bon fire this winter. THe girls are loving having Aunt Rachel here and so are Nathan and I. Have a great weekend!!

A good friend of mine made this dress for Allie. The cookies I made for the girls to take to class on Friday It is pie crust with choc chips and peanut butter chips. YOu cut out with the leaf cookie cutter and this fill each with the chips and put another crust layer on top. After that spread egg on top with sugar and bake at 375 for 12 mintues. Very easy the idea came from familyfun.com

Crazy months and days

I am finally sitting down to give you a update around my house. I have recovered very good and am feeling very good. It was wonderful having help with the girls and now I have them to myself. I told Nathan that he spoiled me by taking and picking them up from school everyday. I say he should still do it at least twice a week. I feel like I have taken things slow around here but everyone says I need to slow down. How can I do that with three girls. My Tuesdays and thursdays are very nice because Allie now goes to Mother's Day out from 9:00 to 2:30. I am loving having sometime to myself. Allie loves her days at MDO so that makes it nice also.
I will have to say I am like Tamara and am not a morning person. I hate alarm clocks but set it anyway. When it goes off I am mad and go push the snooze button about three times before I get up. I get myself in a happy mood and wake up Caroline and Kayleen. Let you know Allie has came downstairs at 6:30 and says "GOOD MORNING MOMMY" and ready to go. I am like Lay down Allie let mommy wake up. Caroline and Kayleen wake up and make their beds up and gets dress with not alot of problems. They come downstairs with no problems so maybe Mommy needs to learn some lessons. Hope everyone has a wonderful week.

1. I love being a mom and have enjoyed this summer with the girls.
2. I do not like to do laundry and iron.
3. I love to cook and it is starting to be fun to do with the girls.
4. When Nathan is out of town I stay awake all night long. I hear every sound and think about everything that could go wrong.
5. I just had surgery last wed. and I have no pain. I am excited about that.
6. One of the lowest times in my life is when i got West Nile virus and had to learn how to walk again. Glad that is over and can smile about it.
7. I have a months worth of food in my freezer to use when my mom leaves. Since girls start school tommorrow it will help with afternoon homework time.

I can not think about seven people right this second.

Busy Summer

This summer has gone by so fast. We have been very busy going to the pool and having friends over to play. We went to the rodeo last friday and the girls had so much fun. Great place to take the kids. This friday we are taking Caroline and Kayleen to six flags for the first time. They are excited and want to ride the big rides so we will see how it goes. This saturday we are having Nathan's birthday with his family. I am also potty training Allie which she seems to be doing good most of the days. Almost their and I am so excited. The girls school starts Aug. 18th so we need to enjoy the next couple of weeks. I am having surgery Aug. 15th and will not be able to do anything or lift anything for eight weeks. How much fun does that sound. So I will be getting lots of help with the girls. They found pre-cancer in my uterius so I am getting that removed. I am glad we found it early and know it will all be fine. Take care this week. Alison

We have been very busy this summer. My family (Alison's) got together over the 4th and meet at a beach in forida. We had so much fun and hated to leave everyone. We already can not wait to get together again. The girls love to be with their cousins.

We have been busy, busy and more busy around our house. Two weekends ago Nathan and I went to Carlsbad, CA and had a wonderful relaxing afternoon. They say when everthing is calm you are about to hit a storm and I believe we did this past week. All three girls have been taking swimming lessons so that has keep me busy. Last weekend we went with another family to Nathan's grandparents lakehouse which the girls loved. They actually got in the tube and let us pull them by the boat which is a big step. We also have a pool and beach area to go to which is hard to get the girls away from since it is so much fun. Tommorrow is Caroline and Kayleen's last day of school. They are so excited to be able to play and swim all day. Nathan and I have found out we do not have to go to far for the girls to have fun on vacation. All they want is their parents attention, playtime and pool. We are looking forward to vaction with my family in july. Hope I can post pictures soon.

camping, kids play and mother's day

For the past several months the girls have been begging their dad to take them camping. This past friday night Nathan, Caroline and Kayleen went camping. They set up a spot by the creek in the woods at their Grandparents place. Allie and I joined them for supper and smores. The girls and Nathan actually sleep all night without hearing all the animals. Allie and I joined them again for breakfast but it was fixed at the house by Uncle Scott.

On saturday afternoon we meet up with some friends of ours to watch a childrens play. At the Dallas Children Theatre they had the play "If You Give A Pig A Pary". The girls thought the play was so funny. Great to see them have so much fun. After the play we went out for ice cream sandwiches.

Our weekend ends with a wonderful day of celebrating mothers. First, Nathan and the girls made me waffles with strawberries and whipcream. We joined Nathan's family for lunch which is always nice to be with family. After lunch we came home and relaxed. The girls and I baked and decorated some sugar cookies. Kayleen tells me they are the best sugar cookies she has ever had. I actually made them from scratch.

Thank you Mom for being a wonderful mother to us kids and showing us love in the home. You are still their for us each day and now the grandkids see the same love in your life. Hope I can remember the love I need to show my own three daughters. Happy Mother's Day to all the Wonderful Mothers!

What a week!!! I took Kayleen to the NET doctor yesterday and he said that everything looks good. He did listen to her lungs and it still sounded bad so he added another antbotic to the ones she is taking. She seems so much better today and sounds like it is clearing up finally. So I hope this means we are on the mend FINALLY!! She will not go to school the rest of this week just to make sure it is all cleared up.

Caroline seems to have the Texas sinus stuff but seems to be feeling much better. Finally no fever for 24 hours. BACK TO SCHOOL tommorrow. Do I seem ready or what!!!

Allie seems to be the same as Caroline but the Dr. would not give her anything today. Hope it clears up if not back to the dr. friday. She seems fine as long as I keep the fever down.

I believe Nathan and I could buy stock in Motrin and Tylenol. We have gone thru two bottles each between all three girls.

I am so glad dad and mom were here last week to help. Their were many tears when they left with the girls, which made me have tears to see the girls so upset. They asked me why do they have to live so far away? Kayleen really did try to pack herself in the suitcase. They all love to go to Georgia to play with cousins. We are looking so forward to family time at the beach.

Tonsils, sick, and Nanny & Pappa visiting

Kayleen had her tonsils out last Thursday. Everything went well and she didn't even know she had her tonsils out. She asked later in the day "Did I have my tonsils out?" But...it was all to good to be true. She has had a 104 fever and now has pneumonia. Her fever has gone down but she feels terrible because of the virus and not being able to eat. I am hoping to get her to the Dr. today and see what they say. Lets get her on the mend!!!! :(

Caroline has the virus also and is running a fever. Lets hope that is all she gets and it doesn't turn into anything else.

Allie is coughing and doesn't sound well herself!!!!

The bright side of things is that my parents are here!!!! Mom came last Wed. so that she would be here for the surgery and Dad came this weekend. They are to leave tomorrow!:( Maybe, we can get Nanny for a few more days. They girls have been having fun with them here in spite of all the sickness.

Very busy week

We have had a very eventful week! On Monday and Tuesday we had our special meeting worker visits,which was wonderful. On Tuesday night my girls decided to cut their hair, this was after putting them to bed. It was 10:30 and Kayleen came downstairs to tell me that Caroline had cut her hair. NO!!!! Caroline also tried to cut her own hair. The next day I had to take them to the beauty salon to have their hair corrected. What was Caroline thinking?!!!!

On Monday Kayleen says "I want to ride my bike with no training wheels" so we took the training wheels off and she rode her bike without the training wheels! She was very excited and Caroline had to prove that she could also ride her bike without training wheels and she did! They are growing up so fast. OOPS!! I believe I made a mistake and put pictures of Nathans hunting on here, sorry.

Fun filled weekend

On Friday night we took the girls to Barnes and Noble for story time. They were able to wear their pj's and curious George came to visit. The girls loved it!! On Saturday they went to our neighbors indoor pool party and of course they were excited about going swimming. Nathan and I had a babysitter for the evening and went out to eat. Sunday afternoon was beautiful here so we went out to Nathan's parents place and rode the 4 wheeler around. Then went to the creek to let the girls throw rocks and sticks. They are ready to go camping with daddy down at their grandparents place. I almost forgot to mention that Friday morning we woke up to snow!!!! My girls went out to play in the snow but it was melted by 10:00 that morning. Hope to get pictures up soon. My camera broke and I need to get pictures from others. Have a great week!!! :)

Sorry to say no pictures but hope to soon. Now I know I am not dumb and it is my computer and Kristen Coker can speak for me on this. It seemed like a hour that we sat on the phone trying to figure it out. Not the end of the day.
Last weekend Allie, Aunt Jane and I went to Georgia to surprise my dad for his birthday. My dad was very surprised to see us walk in the door thinking that my sister and her daughter were the only ones coming into town. Not only was it his birthday but us three girls, Mark's (my brother) and Allie's and Addison. We had a wonderful time being together for the weekend. Caroline and Kayleen stayed at home with daddy and it sounds like they had a great time.
Now this weekend. I went to the doctor on Thursday and found out that I had sinus and ear infection so our plans sounded great to me. Nathan and I had made plans for a dear loved babysitter to come stay with the girls Friday night and all day Saturday while we went into Dallas. I took advantage of the night away and went to bed early and slept in Saturday. Saturday morning went to the spa and then spent the afternoon shopping. I love shopping and of course if I can find shoes in the ladies department. Have a great week.

Allie had so much fun at her birthday party. I did heart theme which was perfect for this weekend. She loves Curious George and gets so excited. Busy week

I will have to agree with Tamara a full moon or what. Our week started off that away. Last Sunday Kayleen woke up with a fever it ran until Thursday. Allie on Tuesday would not stop crying and keep pulling at her ears so off to the doctor we go and she had ear infection. Allie never ran a fever. On Wed. I had a dentist appt. so i met up with a friend and handed Allie over to her so that She could play with her friend. I then meet them back at the mall and we had lunch together at the American Girl Bistro. It was to cute seeing two little girls having fun talking and eating together. On saturday we meet up with a family for lunch in Dallas and then the girls and I went with this family to see a play called "Goodnight Moon". THe girls thought it was funny and loved seeing the play and of course want to go see another one. THe Dallas Children Theatre will have one in may call "If you give a pig a party" so I have already told them we could go. Needless to say i am glad to stay home today and relax. Have a great week.

Cold and restful weekend

Anyone is welcome to help me figure out the picture posting. Nathan and I tried to put some pictures up but were not successful. We will keep working on it. Friday night after supper we played games with the girls and I served them hot chocolate. THey were so excited Kayleen took a big sip before I could remind her to blow on it and she burned her bottom lip. I felt so bad for her and now she has a blister. On saturday we had two families over for supper and the kids had so much fun together and we adults had a great time visiting. On sunday Kayleen woke up with a fever so off to prima care after lunch and she has strip throat. This was not Kayleen's weekend. Caroline had school this morning and she was so excited to be able to help out getting Kayleen's make-up work. On the way home this morning Kayleen keeped coughing and Allie spoke up and said "are you ok". I was very surprised and it sure made Kayleen smile. Everyone stay warm and have a wonderful week.

Quiet Weekend

Nathan and I had a very relaxing weekend. On Friday afternoon I meet up with Laura Potter in Waco and handed Caroline and Kayleen over for the weekend. So Nathan and I had only Allie and it seemed so easy and quiet with just her around. Friday night we went out to eat to the bookstore and Allie was in bed early since she took a short nap. On saturday morning we relaxed around the house and if you have seen my car lately I was embarrassed so I cleaned it out and it looks like a new van. We had someone to come babysit Allie for the afternoon and Nathan and I went shopping out to eat and went to watch the Pat. play and am excited they won. I now can officially root for the New Englanders. Sunday I went and meet Laura in Waco to pick the girls up and I heard all about apartment life. The Late night parties that her neighbor had and the life with a boyfriend. It is very funny to hear about all this from a 4 and 5 year old mind. I had some questions to ask Laura ha, ha. THey had fun and want to go visit Aunt Laura again so thank you for providing them a wonderful fun weekend. (sorry for misspellings)

Beautiful weekend

We have had a wonderful weekend!!! I got a call from Ira on friday he was wondering if they could come for Friday and saturday night. Of course I said we would love to have you and Ray to be with us this weekend. Nathan put them to work saturday and they helped him put the trampoline together. The girls jumped on it all afternoon yesterday and have been on it all afternoon today. THe weather has been in the 70's both days so it has been great weather to play in. It is suppose to be in the 60's the rest of the week so the girls will be excited to be outside and good time to have friends over. Next weekend Aunt Laura have offered for Caroline and Kayleen to come visit her so they are excited about that. Nathan and I are going furniture shopping and I am excited. Have a great week!!

WE had a very busy and fun holiday. The weekend before christmas Nathan and I took the girls to Branson, Mo. and stayed at Big Cedar LOdge. THe girls had lots to do, Santa read them a bedtime story, had breakfast with santa, one of his elves read them a story and then a gift in our room, wagon ride and hot chocolate, swimming, gingerbread house making, decorating sugar cookies and somemore I can not think about now. THen we came home on Sunday with lots more to do. Monday we spent the day with Nathans parents and his siblings and had christmas dinner with them. On Tuesday we spent christmas day with everyone at his grandparents house. For the next three days Nathan and Scott went deer hunting and I was at doctors office all three days. Allie now has her sling off!! YA! On saturday Nathan, the girls and I went to visit friends in Midland, Texas in the no where land. We had alot of fun and the girls played and played with their three Kids (Anthony and Cara Speer). Cara and I took the kids to the national park sand dunes and the girls loved sleeding down those hills. LOt of Fun!!! THe speers had everyone in their area over for new year and we were all suprised we stayed up until midnight. Next morning back home and to reality. THe girls are so excited to be back at school and it is nice to be back to normal. Hope everyone has a wonderful 2008.

A Fun Weekend

We had a very fun weekend. It has gotten chilly here and we have our gas fireplace working for the winter again. Friday night we turned the fire on and set on the floor to play games with the girls. On Saturday night Nathan and I had five other couples over for dinner and all the kids went to a babysitter. Our girls went with their grandparents and got to spend the night. Of course we got them after meeting. We had plenty of food to eat (of course I do not want anyone to go hungary) then we played several games. Alison had her camera out and ready but did not take pictures. THe girls were excited that some dessert was leftover so they could have some after lunch today. Kayleen melted my heart today by walking up to me to say she loves me and gave me a kiss. Caroline has been telling me that she will wear or do what I ask. Hope that keeps up!!! Anytime Allie is hungary she says I want lunch!!! It can be at breakfast, lunch, snack or supper and it is still "I want lunch". Hope you all have a great week!!
PS. Aunt Shelley, Caroline wants to know when is it going to snow here in Texas so she can build a snowman?

Ice Skating in Texas

A small town near us does a ice skate rink every year at this time of the year. The girls begged me to go so I took them this evening. THey had a blast and could have kept going. Now the ones from the North would be lauging at our ice skate rink because it is not ice but white plastic. THe girls basically could walk on it but they did not know the difference. On top of that it got up to 80 degrees here and their where kids in shorts and t-shirts ice skating. I put the girls to bed and Kayleen says her legs hurt so they did get a good workout. Maybe we can try real ice skating someday soon!!! Hope to post some pictures later when I get them.

We all had a wonderful time in Ga and the girls are already asking when are we going back to Papa and Nanny's. THey are ready for another trip to Ga and see all the cousins. Thanks for a wonderful time. Last Friday Allie decided to clime into the kitchen chair and did not set down correctly so she fell backward on the tile floor. She would not stop crying so off to the emergency room and of course a broken collar bone. A life with a 1 1/2 year old.

I have finally joined the clan. What a great accomplishment for me. Some sayings that Allie has started saying are: I want shoes, I want eat, I want ater (water) etc. She is growing up so fast. The girls are already talking about thanksgiving so we are ready to see family. I will figure out how to do pictures next.
